The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren
Anna Green married Liam “West” Weston for access to family housing in college. She thought West married her for the same reason. After graduation, she signed the papers he supplied, and she moved on to create her art, and starve while making her way. Three years later, West shows up and she discovers her not-so-ex is a grocery store dynasty heir with a clause in his grandfather’s will that requires a five-year marriage before disbursement of his inheritance. West’s sister is getting married on a private island and his family is demanding the presence of his wife. Pink-haired, unknown painter, Anna is not the med-school wife his parents expect to attend. As Anna and West pretend to be a happily married couple, Anna experiences a wildly different world than the one she comes from…and the toxic family she has entered might destroy both of them.
Christina Lauren has done it again with this latest romance novel. The witty banter between Anna and West/Liam is hilarious and their chemistry was undeniable. The private island setting with the ridiculously opulent wedding week made for a perfect escape. His family, especially his father, made for some stressful reading moments, but it was all worth it in the end.
If you enjoy a good romance, I highly recommend this book!
