Survive the Night by Riley Sager
Riley Sager’s latest, Survive the Night, read like a campy B-movie/thriller and I mean that in the best way possible (I love them!). Charlie has decided to leave college, perhaps permanently, after the murder of her roommate at the hands of the Campus Killer. It’s the early 1990s, so to find a ride home, she heads to the ride board on campus where she meets a stranger heading near her home. She decides to travel with the stranger from New Jersey to Ohio…
That’s all I want to share with you about the plot because it was quite a ride and any more than that will spoil your trip! I loved the early 90s setting and it definitely made everything more intense (no cell phones!).
Survive the Night was not my favorite by Riley Sager. It was a page-turning, nail-biter to the end though, so I still enjoyed it. This would make a really fun movie.
